Compare bid and purchase functionality in online auction environments.
Scenario: You want to buy a Sony Playstation 4 gaming console to play new games, but because the new consoles are so expensive, you wonder if there are any second hand options. You visit eBay to search for a second-hand console.
Have you used this website before?
Search for a Sony Playstation 4 console that you can bid on. Choose the offer that you find most appealing. As soon as you found one, please move on to the next task.
What made you choose the selected offer?
Imagine that you were interested in purchasing this product. How would you make sure that you don't forget to bid?
AnswerI would add it to my Watch list but also nearer the time that the auction was due to end I would also set an alarm to remind me to be ready to live bid (i.e. increase as required/decided) and hopefully win.

How would you describe your experience? What could be improved?
AnswerPositive experience but I do find the flow of ebay on a computer less accessable than from the mobile app (such as things as finding UK only products) do not feel as easy to filter down too. Also everything feels just more widespread and less accessable in general(i.e.mobile app vertical interface makes it easier to find and access different parts of the site whereas the landscape interface of a computer screen makes it more complex.) For improvement making the most wanted parts of the site very obvious and easily accessable (if possible from one central location) would be an improvement.
